Life is better with friends! Are you a newcomer to Saint John? Are you looking to meet new people and find interesting things to do? Saint John Kennebecasis Valley (SJKV) Newcomers' Club is for women of all ages who have moved to the Saint John and Kennebecasis Valley area in the past 2 years. We are a local chapter of a National and International organization that has brought together women from all over the world. We have a small annual fee of $25.00 for general membership or $12.50 for alumni (after two years membership). We meet for coffee, lunch, dinner, bridge, book club, moms and tots, and various other events. Get in touch! Come and meet other women who are new to the Saint John area. Mom and Tots
Are you new to the area and home with young children? It is important for moms and their children to make connections with others, especially after relocating to a new place where they may not know anyone and are not familiar with all that the area has to offer. What a wonderful reason to join the SJKV Newcomers' Club Moms and Tots group! Members of the Moms and Tots meet for playdates at a members home where the children can play and the moms can relax in a welcome environment. Occasionally we choose an outside location or go on a family-friendly outing. We share information and resources with each other about parenting tips, community events, playgroups, preschool programs and other activities. We support each other, and most importantly, have formed lifelong bonds of friendship as our children grow together and we become a meaningful part of each others' lives. Coffee Mornings
Join the SJKV Newcomers' club for our fabulous coffee mornings! We get together twice a month so take a look at our activity calendar to see when we are meeting next. Our coffee mornings are a non-intimidating way to introduce yourself to other new women in the area. Please come and enjoy some laughs, coffee and snacks with other women in your area in a casual atmosphere. We would love to meet you! Dinner Evenings
The SJKV Newcomers' Club Dinner Evenings are a fun way to meet friends and experience new restaurants in the city! The are specially designed for women who work during the day but any member is welcome to attend our girls night out! Bridge Group

Ladies Who Lunch
The SJKV Newcomers' Club "Ladies Who Lunch" is a great way meet other women and have lunch at fabulous restaurants in the area. We get together on the fourth Thursday of each month. Invitations are sent early in the month and a reminder is sent two days before to confirm the reservation. Some of the places we have lunched at include Shadow Lawn, Bourbon Quarter, Thandi's, The Opera Bistro, Alley Gria and Lily Lake Cafe. View our activity calendar for our meeting dates. Book Club
Everyone is welcome to join the SJKV Newcomers' Book Club! Our book club gives you the opportunity to read new books, motivation to read, hear different opinions, create social ties and try different food and wine! Each month we will read a new book that has been selected by a member and that member will host and provide refreshments to the group. The host will also be responsible to provide a list of questions about the book to be presented to the group for discussion. It's okay if you can't make it to all of the meetings! All you need to do is read the book for the month you can come and let the host know you will be attending after the reminder e-mail has been sent.
